A little bit about the artist
Ginger has been interested in art since she was a young girl growing up in Charleston, SC. she started formal art lessons at age 10 and has been painting, drawing, crafting and creating ever since. After obtaining a b.s. degree in an allied health field, Ginger pursued a medical career for 15 years while always maintaining her love for art. In 2009, her children started elementary school in Cobb County, and she became very involved in school art programs. She was the art awareness program director for 5 years at Vaughan Elementary School and then worked for five years with Lovona Brantley of Acworth Gallery teaching after-School art classes and private painting parties. Ginger started Byrdhouse art in 2019. Ginger teaches art principles and design elements as well as skillful drawing techniques, which are the keys to creating great artwork. Ginger also has a great love of art history and incorporates it into her lessons.
